AIG Fayoade holds refresher training for Zone 2 Police Officers on use of force
 

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in charge of Zone 2 Police Command, AIG Adegoke M. Fayoade today organized an intensive refresher training for officers in the Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan.

This is to enable them be at the cutting edge as it concerns the Use of Force in the Discharge of Statutory Police Duties, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

The session was facilitated by AIG Adeoye Adeniran Oluwafimihan (retd). It was held at the M.D. Abubakar Conference Hall, in the Command HQ, Onikan, Lagos.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Zonal Police PRO, CSP Umma Ayuba noted that the refresher training bothers on ‘the primary duties of a Police Officer as a Protector and promoter of human rights; Methods of crime prevention; Application of armed and unarmed forces; Legality, Proportionality, Accountability and Necessity for every action; Justification for the use of firearms; and Investigation and Report Writing.’

While expressing his profound gratitude to AIG Adeoye Oluwafimihan retd for making out time to facilitate the training exercise, the AIG in charge of Zone 2, AIG Adegoke Fayoade stated that the course was aimed at updating knowledge and skills of personnel to meet up with the global standard of operation and reviving skills lost due to dereliction. He reminded personnel of the need to upgrade performance especially for those who operate with obsolete work procedures.

The facilitator, AIG Adeoye Adeniran Oluwafimihan retd shared a great deal of experience and knowledge with personnel of the command during the training.
