The Mayor of Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, Mayor Osinachi Nwaka has reassured that he, in collaboration with other leaders can drive forward the Council to attain unprecedented economic growth
Mayor Osinachi Nwaka who is also the President of New Era Foundation (NEF), a Non Governmental Organisation aimed at eradicating poverty from among the people, reiterated his unflinching desire to give the Council notable facelifts by investing in the agricultural sector of the Council.
Speaking on January 4, during a meeting with the Commissioner for Agriculture, Professor (Mrs.) Ironkwe Monica and other leaders of the Council, at the former’s residence, in Amaoba Oboro, Nwaka who recounted that the people were predominantly agrarians, stressed his burning zeal to make better the lots of the entire people of the Council through the sector.
Nwaka reiterated his commitment to developing Ikwuano, which according to him, is deeply rooted in the understanding that, “through strategic agricultural initiatives, we can propel Ikwuano towards unprecedented economic success.”
Continuing, he said: “By directing our collective efforts toward the agricultural sector, we aim to instigate a ripple effect that positively influences various facets of the community, fostering sustainable development and securing a prosperous future for generations to come.”
Famousreporters.com gathered that the session was distinguished by a comprehensive discourse on various developmental issues, with a specific focus on formulating strategies to optimize the agricultural resources for the advancement of the economic landscape of Ikwuano.
The leaders of the Council meticulously explored avenues to enhance the efficiency of the agricultural sector, while recognizing its pivotal role as a primary driver of economic growth in the area.
According to the Council leaders, the objective of the crucial meeting is to identify sustainable approaches that “would not only contribute to the economic vitality of Ikwuano but also elevate the standard of living for its populace.”
Meanwhile, the occasion had in attendance some of the prominent sons of the Council, among whom were Dr. Charles Anyadiegwu, the President General of Ikwuano Development Union Federated, (IDU-F), Dr. Ariwodo Bobby, Pastor Wilson Alamba, Mr. Chibunna Nkwocha, Dr. Sunday Ohuegbe (President General of Amaoba Development Union Federated).
Others were: Mr. Uwaoma Ukandu, the Vice President General of Amaoba Development Union Federated, and Mr. Felix Okezie Onwukwe, Secretary General of Amaoba Development Union Federated.
