The people chanted amidst ecstasy their unalloyed support for Ogwumabiri Umuahia, lamenting that their impacts on the development of Umuahia had been over the years, consigned to oblivion, hence no government project has ever been sited in their area, nor has any government nor representative improved their livelihood.
The President-General of Agbama Women, Mrs. Nkiru Onyeanulam, in an aura of confidence, pointed out that Aguocha’s envisaged victory was not negotiable, stressing that the enemies shall not succeed in their evil plans l, whatsoever, against him.
Mrs. Onyeanulam in her enthusiastic state, led the community in a hearty prayer and worship session for the victory of the prospective Federal House Representative.
“We are praying for God’s abundant blessings upon him and we’re confident that he would win. May God grant him his heart desires and crown his efforts with success. If there be any evil man that may want to rise against him, we decree that the Holy fire consumes such such man”, she prayed.
The woman leader, Agbama 1, Mrs. Chinwe Peters in an exclusive interview with famousreporters.com thanked God for giving the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia the gift of a man with a heart of gold.
Adding, she said: “having lifted many from their state of utter impoverishment both in his immediate Community and beyond.

We shall do all that we can to support him in this struggle and ensure that he emerges. We have endorsed him as our sole candidate for Federal House and we have no doubts about his capacity to make do his promises.
“I pray that God grants him prosperity in all his endeavours because he is a good man; he’s tested and trusted and he must prosper in whatsoever he does.
Earlier in her remarks, the woman leader who prided in the integrity of Aguocha informed the people that the latter would not dash their hope.
However, she wailed that the various past administrations had been apathetic towards their agonies and yearnings, hence none has made efforts geared towards ameliorating their penurious state, as she enjoined the people to unalloyedly support the candidate.
Testifying further about Aguocha, she said: “if you know this man you would understand that your expectations shall definitely become realities when he emerges. As a former president-general of Ohuhu, he empowered so many of his people and offered many employment opportunities. He has given many scholarship and sent some abroad. Your votes for him will not be a waste.
“Please, my people, we’re endorsing him today and promising that we shall vote him and he must surely win. Our roads are impassible; they collected our lands and built an estate on it yet they have refused to construct our roads. And he has promised to build our roads but if he doesn’t, hold me accountable”, she vowed, as she prayed for more of God’s blessings upon candidate.
Saddled with emotions, Chief Aguocha described the present state of living condition of the people as disheartening, lamenting that the Community has over the years been relegated to the background inspite of donating large expanse of their land to build a Housing Estate.
He expressed bitterness over the impoverished condition of the villagers, which he blamed on the negligence of various past administrations towards the community.
“For a Community that donated a large expanse of land with which they built an estate to be in a dilapidated state. All their focus is now on the Housing Estate and not the village that donated the land. The Community has dilapidated infrastructure, no road, no water, no light, their local stream, the only source of drinking water have been destroyed from road grading. The people are really suffering.
“My assurance is that when elected, we’ll look into their matter by attracting more meaningful development projects that will enhance their way of life. I am saddened by the poor living condition of the village Agbama and my tenure when elected will address the matter fruitfully.

“We are appealing to you to vote not just for me alone but for all the Labour candidates, beginning from our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, Dr. Alex Otti, for Governor and the State Assembly candidates across the state. Because Labour Party has come to change the narrative. So, when you get to the polling unit, look out for where you have the picture of father, mother and child and vote. We shall meet with you again and we shall come with our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi and Alex Otti and all other candidates of the party in the State

“In the past, because of the few persons that colonised the political structure of Olokoro, we voted in the wrong people who have helped in impoverishing the Community. However, now, we are all voting en mass for Labour, beginning from Peter Obi to House Assembly Candidates.
