Rt. Hon. Sony Goli says Abia APC Congress, not contestable

Rt. Hon. Sony Goli, Abia Apc Congress Committee Chairman has reassured all members of the All Progressives Congress that the party’s Congress slated for Saturday, July 31 remains incontrovertible.

Hon. Ogoli stated this during a stakeholders’ meeting, held today, in Umuahia, the capital of Abia, as he charged members to ensure that they are at the various Wards to conduct a free and fair congress, adding, “Abians should expect a hitch congress.”

In his words, “we are saddled with
the responsibility to conduct the Congress in all the 184 wards of Abia. By tomorrow, we are going on with the Congress. God has designed it that way that Congress will hold nationwide.”

Speaking further, he noted that “the party is set and we are all here with all the materials and our duty is to ensure a very sure free and fair ward congress, and new ward leadership will emerge by tomorrow.

“We have seen all the Security Operatives in the state and inform them about the Congress. We are set,all the people should go to their respective wards and get set for the Congress”.

In her response, the member representing Isikwuato/ Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Nkiru Onyejiocha notes that she had been at the her localities mobilizing her people, while charging all the stakeholders to also emulate same, to ensure a free and fair Ward Congress.

Adding, she said, “I believe in a free and fair congress and I do also believe the stakeholders will do same and carry out a peaceful ward congress.”

In addition, Onyejiocha urged party members to vote in people of integrity “and people of substance so that we can take over the State come 2023.

“However, any party member who is happy and hobnobbing with other political parties is not a serious person and should not be allowed to hold any position in the party leadership she concluded.”
