Ikechi Emenike not suspended;
Abia APC stable, ready for Ward congress – Hon. Uruakpa thunders
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abia State Chapter, Hon Uruakpa Sterling has reiterated that the party congress slated for July 31, 2021 remains as stipulated by the APC National Working Committee.
Speaking further, Hon. Sterling insisted that “it won’t be a business as usual because God has remembered Abia Apc and it is only God that can stop a moving train”, he added.
He, therefore, urged all party members in the state to fortify themselves and collectively work with High Chief Ikechi in order to ensure a successful Congress across the state.
“I know Abians are so expectant of a strong and consolidated APC in the State for the fight ahead, and I hereby call on all party members in the state to come out and join forces together with High Chief Ikechi for a hitch free and successful congress across the state”, he pleaded.
Asked about the purported suspension of Chief Ikechi Emenike, Uruakpa, with a glimmer of smiles asked:
“Did you actually go through the purpoted publication ‘according to them the suspension was since 2018, was lifted after two days, but today they have come out with another propaganda that they have reconfirmed the 2018 suspension of the Leader of Abia APC, the man God used in lifting the party in Abia that? It is a mockery and ridiculous submission’ he argued.
Meanwhile, it could be recalled that a group of party members led by Hon. Donatus Nwamkpa had announced that the governorship hopeful, Chief Emenike had been suspended by the party in the state, on the grounds of causing a distortion in the party’s activities.
However, Engr. Uruakpa used the medium to debunk the alleged extant commotion in Abia APC, pointing out that the party is stable and “consolidated to carry out the ward congress across the 184 wards in Abia”.
