Ohanaeze Youths exonerate S/East govs from Nnia Nwodo Regional stabilisation trust fund saga

The apex socio-cultural youth organisation in Igbo land, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, has said the South-East Governors were not part of the proposed stabilisation trust fund in the zone, by the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Nnia Nwodo.

This is even as the Igbo youths described this latest move by the embattled Ohanaeze Ndigbo helmsman, as efforts by a sinking man in a deep ocean.

According to the group, Nwodo’s current move was geared towards overthrowing the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Igbo youths group stated this in a statement signed by its President-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro and Secretary General, Okwu Nnabuike, on Wednesday.

The statement read in part; “The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide has described the last attempt of Nwodo to set up a trust fund known as Alaigbo Stabilisation Fund three days after the dissolution of his NEC as deceptive actions of a desperate but sinking man in a rogue operation.

“This is happening in the midst of controversies surrounding the crisis ridden organisation recently, Nwodo’s efrontery  in pursuing this agenda had successfully established the fact that his quest for materialism and illicit funds  after his NEC dissolution is synonymous with corruption.

“Igbo youths Wish to categorically exonerate any involvement of Igbo Governor in the purported Alaigbo Stabilisation Trust Fund. According to one Emeka Atama, Nwodo’s aide, a non elected member of the dissolved NEC, `he fund is intended to develop Igbo land to the status of Catalonia in Spain.

“Igbo  youths had queried the rationale behind the emergency action to upgrade Igbo land to the status of Catalonia, as Catalonia is seeking independence from Spain, this is an affirmative action that Nwodo is seeking funds to overthrow a democratically Elected Government of President Muhammadu Buhari and this must be resisted. Nwodo and his Buccaneers cartel group had perfected plot to decieve igbos overseas with illusive Biafra dreams and form a  parallel structure against Ipob to raise illicit funds under the guise of Trust Funds.

“Igbo youths wish to alert the Presidency and security agencies that Nwodo is on the  process of registering a group  known as as ‘Ohanaeze Ndigbo Organisations Worldwide currently in CAC, through his cronies as Trustees and if the Government turns a blind eye, the Organisation will surely be an Organ to establish the Alaigbo Stabilisation Fund meant for the overthrow of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Government.”
