Abia state Police Command, presided over by CP Ene Okon E, the Commissioner of Police has revealed that the command has sagaciously deployed existing task Forces created in the various area Commands to to enforce the public’s compliance to FG’s Lockdown and Social Distancing Order
Famous Reporters who visited Aba, the commercial hub of the state, last Thursday, discovered that the Divisional Headquarters, Aba Area Command has relentlessly been working towards ensuring a total compliance by residents of the cross- metropolitan area.
Evidently, the command as at last commenced operation the previous week and has left no stone unturned in making sure there is outstanding adherence to stipulated policies ranging from social distancing and abstinence from indiscriminate movements among residents.
The command as observed formed an enforcement Task Force unit at various levels who have been going around the city enforcing the federal government’s order.
Findings revealed that the Task Force at the Divisional Headquarters under Aba area Command has impounded 80 vehicles comprising mini buses, Keke Napep, (Tricycles) and cars belonging to citizens who violated the federal.
Famous Reporters gathered that the level of compliance with the sit-at-home order had immensely improved in the area unlike what was recorded on the initial day of commencement.
Reportedly, impounded vehicles would not be released to the owners up until the period of lockdown elapses, as no further financial penalty would be demanded.
Meanwhile, Famous Reporters, while in a rove observed that Tricycle operators have strictly adhered to the social distancing order, as they in line with government’s directives, ensure that the stipulated number of two passengers is upheld against all odds.
