A police investigation in Ogun State took a disturbing turn after officers reportedly recovered a human skull, a live ram and other items while arresting a pastor and three other men over an alleged money ritual plot.

The suspects were identified as Oyenekan Oluwaseyi, a pastor with Christ Liberty Evangelism Church in Rosco, Iyana Iyesi, Ota; Ibrahim Agbowewe, 30; Suleiman Ogunbunmi, 40; and Gafari Akinsanya, 57.
According to reports, the four men were arrested in the Saje area of Abeokuta following a tip-off from members of the public about their alleged activities.
Acting on the information, police operatives reportedly moved to the area and apprehended the suspects, recovering a human skull and other items allegedly connected to the suspected ritual plot.
Items recovered during the operation reportedly included a large calabash, a black Toyota Camry car and a live ram.
The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer at the time, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed the arrest, saying the suspects had allegedly admitted that they intended to use the human remains for money rituals and blessings.
“We arrested the four of them. They have since confessed that they wanted to use the head for blessings and money rituals,” she was quoted as saying.
A separate report also alleged that the pastor told investigators that the skull was intended for preparing money rituals for clients.
However, the available reports did not establish the origin of the skull, the identity of the deceased or how the human remains were obtained.
The incident, reported in October 2023, drew attention to concerns surrounding the alleged use of human remains for ritual purposes.
