2027: ‘I’ve Made My Choice’: Mgbeahuru Endorses Atuma, Says “I Don’t Care What Anyone Says”

A former lawmaker has thrown his weight behind Emeka Atuma’s 2027 senatorial ambition, urging Osisioma residents to prioritise credible leadership over party loyalty as political consultations intensify in Abia Central.

Former lawmaker Hon. K.O. Mgbeahuru has endorsed the senatorial ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Emeka Atuma, urging residents of Osisioma Ngwa to support his bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mgbeahuru made the declaration on Wednesday when Atuma and his entourage visited his residence in Osokwa Ward 6, Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Area of Abia State, during the candidate’s ward-to-ward campaign tour.

Popularly known as Ohamadike, the former lawmaker warmly received Atuma and his team. He also offered prayers and performed a traditional libation ritual, expressing his desire for Atuma’s success in the 2027 senatorial election.

Mgbeahuru: Credibility Should Come Before Party Loyalty

Explaining his decision to support Atuma, Mgbeahuru described him as a credible candidate whose leadership qualities and capacity to represent the people should take precedence over party affiliations.

He acknowledged his personal relationship with another political figure, Kabila, but maintained that the need for credible representation should guide the people’s choice.

“Kabila is my brother and friend. I don’t care the party he is, I have a good relationship with him. This is not a time to look at party, rather it is time to look for a credible man and that man is Hon. Emeka Atuma,” Mgbeahuru said.

Declaring his support for Atuma, the former lawmaker insisted that his decision was final, regardless of differing opinions.

“I don’t care what anybody will say, I don’t care what anybody thinks about me, I have made my choice of candidate and that is final. I urge every Osisioma person to support Hon. Emeka Atuma for the future of our youth,” he added.

Mgbeahuru also commended APC members backing Atuma’s senatorial ambition and prayed for divine guidance and success for the candidate in the forthcoming election.

Atuma Promises Not to Disappoint Constituents

In his response, Atuma thanked Mgbeahuru for the warm reception, prayers and endorsement.

The senatorial candidate assured the former lawmaker that he would not disappoint the people of Abia Central if elected to represent the district in the Senate.

The visit forms part of Atuma’s ward-to-ward engagements across Abia Central as he seeks to strengthen grassroots support for his 2027 senatorial ambition. Mgbeahuru Endorses Atuma for Abia Central Senate in 2027
