HUNGER PROTESTS: Tinubu Postpones FEC Meeting, Hosts Security Chiefs Amid Ongoing Protests

In a surprise move, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Monday , rescheduled the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting slated for Monday’s afternoon, opting instead to convene an emergency meeting with the nation’s security chiefs.

According to sources, the meeting was geared towards bringing together Vice President Kashim Shettima, the National Security Adviser, all Service Chiefs, the Inspector General of Police, the Comptroller Generals of Customs and Immigration, and the Chief of Staff to the President.

This sudden change in plans comes on the heels of President Tinubu’s national broadcast on Sunday morning, where he appealed to protesters to suspend their actions and engage in dialogue with his administration.
