#AbiaDecides: We shall transform Abia State into S’E diplomatic capital, APC’s Emenike vows
As March 11 gubernatorial election crawls in, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abia State, High Chief Ikechi Emenike has vowed that his administration, if elected will make this State a centre of excellence when he emerges the Governor.
Chief Emenike pledged that his government would transform the State into the diplomatic capital of the South-East region of the country, working assiduously to attract the siting of major consulates in the State.
he promised to create building blocks for development such as agricultural, financial, industrial, technological, and infrastructural base for sustainable development in Abia State. A full-fledged commercial bank with headquarters in Umuahia and branches in each of 17 LGAS. Ditto Insurance, Merchant and mortgage institutions. There would also be an industrial zone in each LGA in the State, and an industrial cluster in each senatorial zone for small- scale industries and artisans.
”Transform Abia State into the diplomatic capital of the Southeast by working assiduously to attract the siting of major consulates in the State.
“Enhance the Gross Domestic Product as well as the Gross Domestic Happiness of the people of the State.
The APC candidate whose watchword revolves around discipline and integrity, promised to demonstrate same in the course of his service to the people of Abia.
Emenike insisted that he would serve the people of Abia with utmost commitment to the new state, while also inculcating same in all and sundry.
Stating his vision for the state, Ikechi Emenike maintained that he was determined against all odds,
”to lead by example, demonstrating discipline, hard work, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the new Abia State; and ensure that all Abia citizens follow the same path. We shall restore high moral, ethical, competent and godly standards to governance.”
Adding, he said: “At the end of our four years in office, Abia would be spiritually, physically, economically and socially better than it has been.”
