By Charity Uwakwe
Reverend (Dr.) Blessed Amalambu, the candidate of African Democratic Congress, ADC, for Umuahia North State Constituency, in the forthcoming 2023 general election, has restated that his administration, if voted in will give a structural template that will guide his successors.
In paragraph 2, let’s put it this way: The foremost candidate assured that his tenure would ensure to publish the usual Constituency fund to the stakeholders of Ohuhu Community, which according to him shall be use to execute projects that would foster growth and development of the Constituency.
Speaking, he regretted that none of the representatives in the state house of Assembly in the Constituency had ever invested the said funds in the development of our Constituency. From the first person to the present house members representing Umuahia North State Constituency, none has ever used that fund to work for the people in the Constituency.
Rev Amalambu stated this while addressing the people of Umudiawa, Ohuhu in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, stressing that his open door policy would Incorporate stakeholders of the Constituency particularly in making decisions over the Constituency allowance.
“Secondly, I shall be the first to periodically invite all the stakeholders for updates of my activities in the state house of Assembly. To the best of my knowledge, there is no record of such in the history of Ohuhu clan. This is why I said that I have come to give a structural legacy for my successors to follow.
The ADC Candidate who is also the state Secretary of Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Abia State Chapter, insisted that he had made transparency and accountability his watchwords.
“By the grace of God, I have over the years been holding public Offices and my conscience wouldn’t let me defraud anyone let alone eat public funds. I promise to give Ohuhu people a satisfactory and effective representation if voted in. It is my earnest desire to restore the eluded transparency and inclusive leadership in Ohuhu land.
“I have come to give a structural template that will bring about progress. This is not a political promise rather I am telling you what I will do. As a man trained by God and the the ICPC to the culture of righteousness and integrity, I will leave legacies that will become a reference in Ohuhu land.
Moreso, as a renowned Agriculturist, Rev Amalambu promised that in his bid to eradicate poverty from among the people, he would train the people on the use of new technologies that would enhance bountiful agricultural harvest.
