A social media Analyst, Isaac Fayose, says with the recent resignation of former vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, it will be expedient if the 2023 Labour Party (LP) candidate, Dr. Peter Obi returns to the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) in order to run for office.
Fayose who applauded Atiku Abubakar’s resignation, urged Obi to see it as a golden opponent to embrace the PDP again, saying it will facilitate his political career.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday,Atiku Abubakar announced his departure from the People’s Democratic Party.
Isaac Fayose expressed profound joy propelled by the news of Atiku’s departure from the party, noting “the party would continue after he left”.
He suggested that Peter Obi, the previous presidential candidate, rejoin the PDP and run for office again.
In his words:
“Good news Atiku has finally resigned from PDP. Good news! I have been trying to suspend him for years, e nor go. Finally baba don go. Third time in 20 years. This is what they call desperation.
“For PDP, the biggest party in Africa, it is a welcome development. The Southerners will not have someone dragging their slot with them. It is a good news the party will have peace now. Third time going and coming, Baba finally don go. We hope e nor go come back this time. Mr Atiku! So you can allow the party because the proper opposition that it is supposed to be.
“Atiku’s ambition has grounded the party for too long. I don’t know whether he forgot something in the villa. In and out of PDP, three times in 20 years. what shame!
“I hope Obi can come back to PDP now because they have got a lot of spread. I hope Obi can come back now!” He conclude
