A Socio-political group known as South-East/South-South Alliance has described the Senate-elect for Edo North Senatorial District Edo State, Mr. Adams Oshomole, as ‘a round peg in a round hole’, for the position of a Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This is even as members of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, hustle and bustle for the position of a Senate President, among who are past Governors of some States, as well as those who have held high profile, elective positions in the country.
Reacting to the seemingly power tussle, in a release signed by the Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrd. Ihuoma Enyinnaya and issued to Famousreporters.com, today, Wednesday, the group described Oshomole as “the man with the most suitable head to wear the cap”, recounting on his unifying ability, among other feats, as achieved.
Among the achievements of Oshomole as recounted by the group were influx of local and foreign business investments; total security of lives and property; youth empowerment, etc, which they reiterated were instigated by the former’s effect and responsive representation in the State.
They, therefore, enjoined all hands to be ‘on deck’ to ensure the emergence of the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to preside over the affairs of the Red Chamber, assuring amidst unreserved confidence that, he would replicate his good deeds across the nooks and crannies of the country, if elected as Senate President.

10TH SENATE PRESIDENCY: The Choice of Adams Oshomole
We the members of South-East/South-South Alliance are hereby, throwing our weights behind the former Governor of Edo State and Member-elect, Edo North Senatorial District, Mr. Adams Oshomole, as the man who is most qualified for the huge task ahead.
“We cannot forget in a hurry, the effective and responsive leadership of Oshomole during his days as Edo Governor. The State witnessed her first resounding infrastructural development and social amenities via his then administration.
“The availablity of the magnificent infrastructure in the State was what triggered the influx of local and foreign business investments; total security of lives and properties; youth empowerment, men and women development; massive construction of rural and urban road Infrastructure; tuition free education system, healthcare delivery system, etc.
“Moreso, according to records, Oshomole who had served Edo State in the past is a man with an impeccable record.
“Indisputable remains the fact that Oshomole remains the only contender for the position of the number three citizen of the country, whose past and present records are without blemish. This is a verifiable fact.
“This is evident in his landslide victory in the just concluded February 25 National Election, wherein he glaringly defeated his closest rival with over 50,000 votes. This, of course, speaks volumes of his legacies in the state.
“An intellectual, courageous and fearless leader is what Nigerians need in times like this, to be able to tackle the extant abnormalities ravaging the country.
“Indeed, the emergence of Oshomole as the 10th Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria will, undoubtedly, bring about a new dawn for all Nigerian citizens.
“We hereby implore all and sundry with focus on king makers to consider the choice of Oshomole for the actualisation of a possible, workable Nigerian nation.”
