UPDATE: Catholic Church dismisses nun for exposing Priests’ sexual assaults on Revd. Srs
A Catholic nun, Annastasia Kinse says she has allegedly been dismissed by the Congregation of Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters for speaking up against the sexual assault meted out to Reverend sisters by Catholic Priests.
Speaking in a Facebook post, Kinse disclosed that she received a letter of disengagement which bore the date, July 21, 2025, but was only handed the letter on September 24.
According to her, the said attached letter was accompanied by a token of ₦100,000 which is perceived to be a form of compensation.
In her post, the former nun wrote:
“When I got to the Convent, I met that my belongings were already packed outside the room I stayed in, and the religious habits were taken away. I pulled the one I had on and submitted it as well. Therefore, I am currently not in possession of any property of the Congregation,” she said.

Despite the development, Kinse thanked those who had supported her through prayers and encouragement, describing their love as priceless.
She further reaffirmed her Catholic faith, saying: “I am a Catholic! and I love my Church! Above all, I place my trust in God, whose throne can never be shaken and who never abandons His own.”
As of press time, the leadership of the Congregation of Mother of Perpetual Help of the Archangels Sisters had yet to respond to the development.
The dismissed Reverend Sister has made several allegations, including sexual abuse by priests, high handedness, and other vices in the Church.
Earlier, Famousreporters.com reported that the now dismissed nun of the Catholic Priest had cried out over the manner in which their male counterparts had subjected them to what counmld best be described as sex toys.
In one of her controversial posts, she wrote, “Religious Sisters Are Not Priests’ Wives or Bedmates.”
While urging Catholic priests and authorities to desist from taking advantage of their vulnerability, Reverend Sr. Kinse Anastasia accused the former of incessant sexual assault.
Famoisreporters.com reports that Reverend Sr. Kinse of Veritas University, Abuja, also accused Reverend fathers of maltreating their female counterparts.
She alleged that Sisters were often reduced to “ornaments in Habits” and treated as if they exist to serve priests’ pleasures. According to her, some priests openly tell them that “Sisters are meant to be priests’ wives” and act on it without shame.
