TRIBUNAL VICTORY: No Victor, No Vanquish, Says LP’s Isienyi
*Says I’m not at war with my senior brother, Nwabuisi
The member representing Ikwuano State Constituency of Abia State, Hon. (Engr.) Boniface Isienyi has extended a
right hand of fellowship to his PDP counterpart, Hon. Stanley Nwabuisi, describing the September 30 Election Petition Tribunal judgement as ‘No Victor, No Vanquish ‘.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with famousreporters.com, shortly after receiving the judgement, the House member who emerged under Labour Party platform, while expressing profound gratitude to God Almighty, maintained that his victory was a victory for the people of Ikwuano in its entirety.
“I thank God for the victory, because it can only be God. It’s a victory for Ndi Ikwuano and so I dedicate it to the people of Ikwuano.”
Meanwhile, describing his opponent, who had dragged him to court, as his older brother, Isienyi used the medium to appeal to the former and all aggrieved persons to sheath their swords, while urging them to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship to enable them achieve greater feats for the council.
“I’m not in contest with my senior brother. He’s my brother; we’re from the same family and I’m extending a hand of fellowship to him. And I am calling on him to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship so we can collectively drive the council to her promise land”, he pleaded.
