“The Stories Must Stop!” — Mark Ugorji Slams Obi Aguocha, Vows End to ‘Poor Representation’

“In a fiery and no-holds-barred outburst that is already stirring political conversations in Abia State, House of Representatives hopeful, Mark Ugorji, has launched a scathing attack on incumbent lawmaker, Rep. Obi Aguocha, declaring that “the stories people tell about him must cease.” Ugorji’s remarks, laced with bold accusations and strong confidence, signal what could become one of the most intense political showdowns ahead of the next election cycle.”

“Mark Ugorji, an aspirant for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency seat, has criticized incumbent, Hon. Obi Aguocha, alleging poor performance and vowing to deliver effective representation through strategic connections and legislative influence if elected.

Aspirant for the Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal House of Representatives seat, Mark Ugorji, has openly criticized the current lawmaker, under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Obi Aguocha, of the Labour Party (LP), accusing him of underperformance and lack of effective representation.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Famousreporters.com, shortly after a strategic meeting with stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Umuahia North, Ugorji expressed confidence in his ability to deliver meaningful results if elected.

The meeting, which was held on Thursday at the residence of APC leader, Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka, in Umuahia, brought together key party figures as Ugorji formally declared his intention to contest.

Outlining his legislative strategy, Ugorji emphasized the importance of influence and networking within the National Assembly.

“I’m somebody who likes to mingle with the right crowd. If I get to the National Assembly, I will ensure I position myself in strategic committees where I can attract projects for my people,” he said.

He further highlighted his experience as a businessman based in Abuja, noting that his familiarity with government institutions gives him an edge.

“I know the offices to go to; I know who to talk to; I know where to press the right buttons to get projects. My political journey is just beginning, and I intend to keep delivering to the point that my people will ask me to represent them again,” Ugorji added.

In a strongly worded critique of the incumbent, Ugorji declared:

“The stories people are telling about Obi Aguocha will cease.”

When pressed to clarify his statement, he did not hold back:

“The story of his ineptitude, the story of inability, the story of a dull approach to governance—recalcitrance, complacency, and failure to do what is expected.”

Ugorji also alleged that Aguocha has not demonstrated the level of responsibility expected of a federal lawmaker.

“It feels like he was sent there just to occupy space, make money for himself, eat and not serve the people effectively,” he claimed.

His remarks have since sparked conversations among political observers, with many viewing them as a sign of an intensifying contest for the constituency’s representation.
