
October 29: FG Declares Emergency Public Holiday
The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Thursday, October 29, as public holiday to mark Eidul-mawlid. This is in commemoration of the birth of Holy prophet Muhammad for all Muslim faithfuls. The minister of interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola made the announcement on behalf of the federal government on Tuesday, October 27, in a statement made available to newsmen.
