Support TNP, Infrastructure, others, Pipeline Host Ethnic Nationality Leaders implore FG

Rivers, Nigeria —In a bid to ensure increased crude oil production and at the same time, enhance the nation’s economic growth, the Pipeline Host Ethnic Nationality Leaders of the Eastern Corridor have unanimously urged the Federal Government to support the Trans Niger Pipeline, TNP, Surveillance Agency, and Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited
The stakeholders also implored the Federal government to renew the surveillance contract awarded to the Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited(PINL) to enable them extend their
scope of operations.
Pipeline Host Ethnic Nationality leaders made this hearty demand during a press briefing, held on Wednesday, at Visa Karena Hotel, in Port/Harcourt, Rivers State capital, noting that the presence of the TNP surveillance Agency has enhanced progress and serenity across the country’s oil-producing communities
The spokesperson, Mr. Famous Daunemigha, posited that PINL had in no doubt, delivered earnestly on its mandate as it regards securing oil pipelines at the Eastern Corridor.
He outlined the landmark achievements of PINL which ranged from
conflict resolution and management, youth employment, curtailing pollution, Community leadership consultation, increased crude oil delivery and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).



“We wish to categorically state that we represent the majority stakeholders of PINL. As members of the host communities spanning Abia, Bayelsa,Imo and Rivers States.
“We are pleased to declare as many others have, that we are highly satisfied with the manner in which PINL is conducting its operations across our various communities.
“We commend the management and staff of PINL for their technical competence in securing this top grade vital national asset,the TNP and other facilities.
In addition, the group stressed that due to PINL had zero-tolerance towards vandalism, which, according to them, has drastically reduced environmental pollution, communities that were previously affiliated by pollution now have access to cleaner air and a more healthy environment.
“In recognition of a job well done, we call on the Presidency and all relevtant federal agencies to not only renew PINL’s contract, but also expand its scope of operations,”.
Corroborating, the President of the Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta, (MOSIEND), and a youth leader, Dr. Kennedy West, amidst an aura of confidence, pointed out that if the Agency is given the needed enablement to protect the TNP, the country will be at the peak of the global oil Market.
Continuing, the “We have absolute confidence with pipeline infrastructure and ask the government to continue to give them the needed support. If government takes them very, very seriously as we in the community do, in no distant time time, what we have just done that quotas given to Nigeria in OPEC surpasses, very soon we are going to surpass every other nation of the earth in terms of supply in PMS and other petroleum products to global market.”
