The Honourable Minister of Transportation has revealed plans by his ministry to localize the Railway Technology in Nigeria.
The Minister disclosed this, yesterday while laying the foundation stone of a transport institute at Gregory University Uturu, during the school’s 8th Matriculation Ceremony.
According to him, his ministry has done so much to revive the almost decayed railway lines which has seen the Trains return in the most glamorous and digitalized form.
The minister reaffirmed his believe in a United and progressive Nigeria, insisting “I don’t believe in North And South, East or West, I believe in the Country Nigeria where I come from.”
He further revealed that in no distant time, work will begin on the Bonny/PortHarcourt/Maiduguri Rail Line.
Highlight of the event was the conferment conferred of a Chieftaincy title as the Dike Di Oha Mma 1 of Usury amidst cheers from his followers, on the Minister, as they appealed to the people of Uturu to give him their support.
