PSC Appoints AIG Mohammed Ali As DIG To Replace Ade Ayuba
• As Argungu Calls FOR Professionalism, Zero Tolerance For Corruption
The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd has approved the appointment of AIG Ari Mohammed Ali as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG North Central with immediate effect.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Spokesperson of the Commission, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani stated that, “The Police Service Commission today, Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, appointed AIG Ari Mohammed Ali Deputy Inspector General of Police to replace DIG Ade Ayuba who has retired from service. Ali was until today the AIG in charge of Zone one, Kano and hails from Nasarawa state in the North Central region of the country.”
According to the statement, “He is assuming duties to represent the region from where the retired DIG Ayuba also hails from.”
“PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu rtd mni, who presided over the emergency Management Meeting of the Commission called for professionalism and zero tolerance for Corruption from the new DIG.”
“DIG Argungu said the Commission will encourage the new DIG to fall in line with the Commission’s vision for a Police Force that is professional and accountable to the Nigerian people.
He said the new PSC is building a new Police that will be a pride of the Nigerian people, free of corruption but full of vigor and determination to serve.”
He noted that the Commission will continue to partner with the Police to ensure that it succeeds in its primary duty of protecting lives and property and dismantling crime and criminality.
He congratulated DIG Ari Mohammed Ali and charged him to go and give his best in the service of his fatherland.”
“DIG Taiwo Lakanu rtd, fdc, Honourable Commissioner and Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, Secretary to the Commission also took time to congratulate the new DIG and assured him of the Commission’s support.”
