In a move signalling stronger economic collaboration between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, senior officials from the UK’s Department for Business and Trade paid a strategic visit to Fidelity Bank Plc headquarters in Lagos. The high-level meeting focused on expanding trade opportunities, deepening financial cooperation, and strengthening investment ties between both countries.

The British Deputy High Commissioner in Lagos, Jonny Baxter, led a delegation from the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) on a courtesy visit to the headquarters of Fidelity Bank Plc in Lagos.

The delegation was received by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank, Nneka Onyeali‑Ikpe, alongside senior executives including the Executive Director for Risk Management, Kevin Ugwuoke.

The visit provided an opportunity for both parties to explore avenues for strengthening Nigeria–UK trade relations, supporting businesses, and enhancing financial partnerships that drive investment and economic growth.
