The Okezuo Abia Youth Wing, OYW, Ohafia Chapter have today received their palliative items donated by the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole to cushion the effects of the sit-at-home order by the Government as part of the measures to contain the spread of the pandemic coronavirus.
Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole while presenting the bags of rice and cartons of indomie to the Group thanked them for their solidarity and efforts which facilitated his resounding victory alongside Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu at the polls.
“This kind gesture is part of my measure to complement the efforts of the Governor in the State”, he said, as he promised to continue to do his best in the discharge of his legislative duties.
Rt. Hon. Nkole urged the group to keep observing all the precautionary measures put in place by the Government to curb the menace of covid-19 such like regular washing of hands, use of alcoholic based sanitizers, maintaining social distancing, cleaning all surfaces and use of face masks among others.
In his remarks, the State Coordinator, OYW, Hon. Kalushal Kalu Orji expressed deep appreciation to the federal lawmaker for his relief items which he noting that “it has gone round the federal constituency.”
He eulogised Rt. Hon. Nkole for always remembering his constituents by responding to their immediate needs and further thanked him for always towing the line of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu in bringing more development and dividends of democracy to the Constituency.
While pledging their continuous supports and loyalty to Okezie Ikpeazu PDP led administration in Abia State and Hon. Uko Nkole, Hon. Orji used the medium to condole with the federal lawmaker over the demise of his father, Late Chief Emmanuel Nkole Ndukwe who passed unto glory at the age of 79.
He described the death of the Octogenarian, philanthropist and financial expert as a colossal loss to the Nation at large and especially the Central Bank of Nigeria, where he explained, the deceased’s dedication to duty rose him to the rank of a Senior Management Staff where he retired meritoriously.
Furthermore, Hon. Kaluahal prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed, as prayed to God to grant the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
