The Ogun State Police Command has refuted a recent publication Against one of its officers, describing it as malicious and false.

Following a recent malicious publication targeted at discrediting the salient efforts of the Ogun State Police Command, it is pertinent to state that the Command operates with a team of officers known for their integrity and commitment to upholding the rule of law.
They are unaffected by unverified information spread by unreliable media outlets, as it has established mechanisms for verifying information and addressing complaints to ensure professionalism and accountability.
The recent publication regarding the Divisional Police Officer in Ogijo allegedly involved in issues relating to “soliciting” retirement contributions and illegal conversion of suspect’s property for personal use is false and should be disregarded.
The source of this information is deemed unethical and aims to tarnish the reputation of a Divisional Police Officer who have served meritoriously and ensured the safety of lives and properties of residents while the community has enjoyed relative peace due to the diligence of this officer and his team via sustained night patrols and covert operations that have caged criminals to succumb to sophisticated policing prowess.
It is important for the public to exercise caution and not be swayed by false news from unreliable sources as the Ogun State Police Command has never been inundated by such reports of misconduct from the Divisional Police Officer, but rather has received accolades of good performances from the officers and men of Ogijo Divisional Headquarters.
Sequel to the records of an impressive and outstanding discharge of his core policing duty, the latter publication remains inconsistent and as such a deliberately fabricated falsehood.
The Ogun State Police Command welcomes only constructive criticisms aimed at improving policing mechanisms are welcomed, but unfounded attacks on the reputation of exceptional and dedicated officers are detrimental to the overall goal of ensuring public confidence.
