NSCDC Reaffirms Commitment to Protecting Nigeria’s Critical Infrastructure at 2025 National Security Conference
The NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to protecting Nigeria’s Critical National Assets and Infrastructure at the 2025 National Security Conference organized by NAOSNP, highlighting the Corps’ dedication to safeguarding the nation’s economic resources.
The need to re-emphasize the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in Nigeria took center stage at the 2025 National Security Conference and Awards, organized by the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP).
The high-profile event, held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Ballroom Hall of the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, brought together top security chiefs, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the country.

Representing the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, was the Lagos State Commandant, Mr. Keshinro Adedotun, who participated as a panelist at the conference.
With the theme, “Securing and Safeguarding Nigeria’s Economic Resources: A Call to Serve,” Mr. Adedotun reaffirmed the NSCDC’s unwavering commitment to defending Nigeria’s critical infrastructure and economic assets.
He stated, “This conference continues to play a pivotal role in shaping our national security discourse, helping to reposition Nigeria’s security architecture in response to emerging threats — even as we celebrate the remarkable progress achieved by our security agencies.”
The Lagos Commandant further urged Nigerians to support the Corps’ efforts, saying, “We must all take responsibility in the collective and selfless fight against the vandalism of our national assets. The government is doing its best to suppress corruption and diversify the economy, but citizen participation is equally crucial.”
At the event, the NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, received the NAOSNP 2025 Award of Excellence for his “All-of-People” approach to the protection of CNAI, conflict resolution, and proactive strategies in safeguarding Nigeria’s economic resources.
