Nigeria President Of Igbo Extraction Is A Favour To All Nigerians- Igboayaka

Comrade Igboayaka.O Igboayaka Is a leading social cum political activist and National President Ohaneze Youth Council (OYC). In this interview with Famous Reporters, wherein he spoke on sundry of issues and as it concerns the place of Ndi-igbo in Nigeria Political hemisphere.

Question:
Recently, Election was held in Enugu which saw the emergence of a new leadership of Ohaneze Ndi-igbo Youth wing, what is the different of the body with yours?

Ans:
Let me give you a brief detail here. Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) is the First Igbo Youth organization under Ohanaeze Ndigbo. In my 12 years participation in Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), before I became the president, I saw an organization that belongs to Ndigbo but it doesn’t serve the Interest of Ndigbo. I took a decision that I must be its President in order to change its Narrative.I discovered that the Organization was existing on radio and pages of News Papers, including in the pocket of a few Igbo youths who held it as their personal affair.
I was among those who complained about the activities of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Igbo political office holders at large. But at a time I developed a thick-Skin and a philosophy of life that the best way to stop a reckless driver who refuse to take correction and drive carefully, to save the lives of the passengers, is to go and learn how to drive and kick the reckless driver out of the driving seat. As I developed thick-skin, I passionately joined Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) with the target to reform it and also play a role in reforming Ohanaeze Ndigbo mother body that was under the control of a few unpatriotic rulers and political profiteers.
This is exactly what I did at the last National Convention of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) held at Enugu where I emerged the 4th National president of the Council.I want to inform youths today that any patriotic and progressive Igbo youth reading this interview now is among the leaders we look up to who will impact positively on the new Igbo generation.Ohaneze Youth Council (OYC) is the Apex sociocultural organization of all Igbo youths, to promote sociocultural, political cum economic development in Igbo land.

At the Inception of Ohanaeze in 1976, it was called Igbo Union until 1979 when it was renamed Ohanaeze Ndigbo. In the days leading to the year 1997, there was no youth body of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, but at the peak of the tenure of Justice Eze Ozobu, of blessed Memory, in 1999 some Pro-Igbo student activists approached Ohanaeze Ndigbo to establish a youth body of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. Immediately Justice Eze Ozobu, who solely believe in successional leadership, approved the establishment of “OHANAEZE YOUTH COUNCIL (OYC) and Comrade Nnamdii Nwokeocha became the National President, he held that position for three consecutive tenures, after his death he was succeeded by Comrade Franklin Orji, from Abia State, who came in at the 2010 National Convention. In 2014 another National Convention was held and Comrade Chukwudi Anachuna from Anambra became the National President. Another National Convention was held in 2019 which saw Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, from Imo state, emerge the National President of OYC.

At the creation of Committees in Ohanaeze Ndigbo “Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Committee, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Women Wing Committee and other Committees/Wing were created. It is important to note that OHANAEZE YOUTH COUNCIL (OYC) remain in its status as the apex body of Igbo Youths democratically elected. The creation of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, was to subdue the youths, thwart the ideals of OYC and to have total control in the affairs of the youths, because Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) were democratically established, there was clash on decision making which the youth opted to be allowed to take decision as it concerns the youths. Ohanaeze Ndigbo conspiracy on every possible means to force decisions on the youths, therefore they saw the need to Created Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, that is why the Youth wing lost the dream of Igbo youth.

The recent selection of unprogressive Igbo youths assembled together by few Executive In Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and called it Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing which lack tenet of democracy as almost 85% of the youth selected have never attended Ohanaeze meeting in their entire life. Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) executives were democratical elected by progressive Igbo youths across 13 states of Igbo extraction, including Imo, Benue, Abia, Enugu, Cross River, Rivers, Anambra, Beyelsa, Kogi, Edo, Delta, Ebonyi and Akwaibom, while Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing is a selection of unprogressive youth praise singers, selected or nominated by Igbo political elders to serve and protect the interest of politicians. Like the new leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing was selected by Gov. David Umahi.

Ohanaeze Youth Council understand that Igbo political office holders are the most responsible for the colossal leadership failure we have in Ala-Igbo. Obviously, it’s not entirely the Hausa/Fulani, as we have assumed over the years, that are to blame on the leadership failure in Igbo land.The current Igbo political office holders and leaders constitute 75% causes of marginalization and poor leadership we have experienced in Igbo land.Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC) target is to mobilize Igbo Youths for social re-engineering geared towards the following Mission and objectives:1. Functional Seaports/Wharfs in Igbo land.(A). Azumini (Blue River) is 30 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean (strategically located connecting Rivers State, Akwaibom State, and Abia State)(B). Obeaku-Ndoki is 25 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean.(C). Oseakwa (River Ulasi) Ihiala Anambra that linked to Osemoto Oguta River Imo State Is only18 nautical to Atlantic Ocean with 20m deep without dredging. Do you know that Ulasi is the deepest River in Nigeria, (Strategically located connecting Anambra Imo, Delta, Beyelsa and Enugu)(D) Ibaka Akwaibom is 30 nautical mile to Atlantic Ocean.Why do we have moribund harbours/wharfs in Igbo land? It’s is a deliberately orchestrated conspiracy by Northern political Mafians and Yorubas who conspired and declared that Niger Delta Area is unsafe for importation and exportation of goods.

Do you know that 98% of agitation in Niger Delta as regards militancy is sponsored by Oil companies in collaboration with the Northern Mafians?Now they are playing another game for States to manage their own solid minerals. This is a pure conspiracy for the Northern States that have gold to manage their gold, while the liquid mineral in Igbo land will be managed by the Federal Government.(E). Calabar is 45 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean and is said to be blessed with natural harbours. (F). Onne is 50 natural miles to Atlantic Ocean.(G). Bonny Is 45 nautical miles to Atlantic Ocean(H) Ozziza Beach in Afikpo is also a potential seaport.*A functional seaport is the only way to transform Ala-Igbo to become the economic hub of West Africa. *The economic destiny of Ndi Igbo lies in Maritime business.* Ndi Igbo must rise now to seek for economic survival.* The sociopolitical cum economic survival of Ndi-igbo lies on the new generational leaders.There is a deliberate conspiracy to undermine economic development in Igbo land, actually we’re not landlocked. We must break this conspiracy and make Ala-Igbo a prosperous land in Africa. 1. If we have functional seaports in Igbo land, Igbo business men can feed and cloth senators.2. Functional International Standard Airport. Dr. Sam Mbakwe’s administration built Imo States Airport, that Airport was built by collective effort of Old Imo State people, traders, workers, students etc.3. Connecting Ala Igbo to Modern Railway (all the cities in Igboland, Portharcourt, Aba, Nnewi, Asaba, Orlu, Okigwe, Umuahia, Onitcha, Obigbo, Ikwerre, Enugu, Nsukka, Afigbo, Owerri, Abakiliki, Calabar, Ibaka etc4. Connecting Ala Igbo to National Electric Grid (for industrial revolution)* lack of National Electric Grid has made it difficult for companies and industries to survive in Igbo land. This has resulted to loss of human capital flight in Igbo land.5. Connecting Ala-Igbo to Industrial Gas Pipeline (Ala-Igbo is the Highest depositors of Gas in Nigeria) Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi6. A massive Campaign/political consultative engagement to construct the federal road that lead to Abuja, from Anambra Otuocha/Nmiata Anam to kogi by extension to Abuja(only 3hrs drive from the Eastern Nigeria to Abuja)Ohanaeze Youth Council realize that the masses are the most powerful people on Earth. Ndi Igbo must convert their population into a political capital. Ndigbo constitute 42.8 of total population of Nigeria, the Fulani’s are not more than 7 million people. Therefore, it is mathematically very wrong for minority to marginalize majority, our undoing is poor strategy and the inability to have a long term political cum economic project.OYC therefore, urges Ndigbo to stop this blame game of hausa/fulani and embrace the challenges ahead of us.Ohanaeze Youth Council also realized that the problem of Ndigbo is the lack of organized leadership in Igboland.

OYC established Directorate Of Leadership & Social Re-engineering for leadership formation and mentorship among the new generation of Igbo extraction to emancipate Ndigbo from the shackles of bad leadership and followership.

Question:
The obvious marginalization of Ndi-igbo in this current administration has become prominent, what will you say are the reasons?

Ans:
Marginalization of Ndigbo didn’t start with the recent or present administration, but it started from 1970 when none of the 3rs of Gen. Gowon was not implemented in any part of Igbo land. Ndigbo have faces marginalization since 51 years(1970-2021)

Question:
How do you rate leadership in southeast? How well has the governor’s performed and shown interest in the cause of Ndi-igbo?

Ans:
There’s no leaders in Southeast, what we have here are rulers and emperors, political maradonas who dribbles the masses with empty unimplemented promises. Leadership requires intelligent and wisdom, but we have parochial set of political profiteers in Southeast instead of solving problem, they are creating more problems to Ndigbo. Look at what Southeast has turned to within a space of five months, insecurity become one of the characteristics and symbol governance in Southeast. Gov. Umahi who is the Southeast Governors Forum lack the capacity and political-Will to provide security for only five states, yet we want to be a president of 36 states in 2023. This can only happen in a Jungle Republic not even in Zoo Republic, because in Zoo there’s absolute orderliness. It’s funny that Gov. Umahi couldn’t protect the lives of Properties of Ebonyians, sitting on the pool of blood of his people. Ebonyi that’s not more that seven million (7m)people, yet insecurity is the order of the day, and Gov. Umahi want to govern Nigeria with over two hundred people (200m) people.

Question:
If you’re asked to suggest for the parent body of Ohaneze Ndi-igbo, what will you want the leadership of Amb. Obiozor to embark on?

Ans:
They should first identify with Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC), the success of every leadership is to work with youths, not just youth but progressive and visionary youths which Ohanaeze Youth Council represent. The council have already presented 11 point socio political, cultural and economic agenda to PG Amb. Prof. George Obiozor led Ohanaeze Ndigbo. I strong believe that Ohanaeze Ndigbo World Wide will henceforth have economic and political value to Ndigbo under the erudite leadership of PG Amb. Prof. George Obiozor. For many years Ohanaeze Ndigbo don’t have any iota of economic and political value to Ndigbo, but Prof. George will change the narrative as a diplomatic reformer. We want Ohanaeze Ndigbo that’s administratively organized that will represent identity of a customary government to Ndigbo, thereby give sense of leadership direction to whole Igbo race in the world.

Question:
The troubles resulting from the agitations of members of IPOB is unbecoming, what are you doing as a youth leader to bring the youths to understanding and douse the tension in the place?

Ans:
Poor leadership from Southeast leaders, marginalization and injustice from federal government led to agitation of Pro-Biafrans, Massob, Ipob, Bim, Eastern Progressive Congress, Mobin, Zonist, Biafra National Council etc. Ndigbo needs Seaport, International Airport, Modern Railway, Industrial Gas Pipeline and National Electric Grid. Nigeria constitution is a fraud drafted to favor the Fulani people. Nigeria constitution should be put in a Trash Bin for a new constitution that has the face of Nigerians, not a constitution that has the face of Fulani people. We need a restructuring that all Igbo communities will be carved into one region, and regional government should be introduced. With the level of marginalization against Ndigbo today, Nigeria government is like a mad man walking on a tinny rope with shape blade.

Question:
Do you subscribe to the clamour for Nigerian president of southeast Extraction?

Ans:
Nigeria president of Igbo extraction is a favor to all Nigerians, not even to Ndigbo. In fact the deliverance of Nigeria from shackle of bad leadership is coming of an Igbo person in 2023 to govern Nigeria. An Igbo person is the only true Nigerian, that’s why they settled and have properties all over Nigeria. Let me tell you, Fulani Political Oligarchy Made A Terrible Mistake, They Could Have Enjoyed Why God Miraculously Made Ndigbo To Be Part Of Nigeria. If They Fail To Realize This Favor In 2023, They Wouldn’t Have It Again.By The End Of 2022, There Will Be A Sign If Ndigbo Will Be Part Of Nigeria Again Or They Will Have Their Own Separate Country.

Question:
What will be your message to the youths and what is the Nigeria of your dream?

Ans:
Youth will not go to war against fighting themselves, if the elders causes war, the youths will force the elders to go and fight the war.“The youth must know that the Igbo nation belongs to them, so we must seek their survival by every peaceful means. Any crisis or violent act affects the youth more than the elders, so I want to urge my people no matter the provocation, we can never pick guns or any other weapon and go to war against any ethnic nationalities in Nigeria again.Youths are the real ambassadors and stakeholders of Igbo nation, therefore, war is not a means to peace, but peaceful approach over every demand is a means to avoid war.“War is an instrument that interrupts the plans of the youths, therefore, we must avoid any violent plan and attack in the quest for self-determination.
