The Kids’ Choice Awards show will go on, and the slime will flow in a “virtually produced” show.
Originally scheduled for March 22 in Los Angeles with host Chance the Rapper, Nickelodeon’s celebrity-filled event has been reworked and rescheduled for May 2 (Saturday, 8 EDT/PDT), with “Victorious” star Victoria Justice as the new host. She’ll be joined by several famous guests.
Among the big names scheduled to appear remotely: Dwayne Johnson, Ariana Grande, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad, Camila Cabello, Millie Bobby Brown, Ellen DeGeneres, BTS, Shawn Mendes, Lil Nas X and a handful of “Avengers: Endgame” heroes.
Nickelodeon says the show will “reveal the winners through some of the most creative orange-blimp acceptances in KCA history,” and promises a segment in which pop star JoJo Siwa discovers slime secretly placed throughout her home. The network also plans to donate $1 million to No Kid Hungry, an organization that fights childhood hunger.
But if you can’t wait a week for some fresh children’s programming, Disney World has you covered. On Friday night, the currently closed theme park shared a pre-recorded video of its mesmerizing, musical Happily Ever After fireworks show.
As for other kid-friendly activities, we can also recommend learning easy TikTok dances and streaming any number of quality TV shows appropriate for families.
