My Victory is for Ukwa West… Chief Okey declares *As he dedicated my certificate to God

The Chairman-Elect of Ukwa West LGA of Abia State, Chief Okey Kanu says his victory is for his people and for the betterment of the entire community.

Chief Okey stated this yesterday shortly after he received the certificate of return, at Ukwa West LGA of Abia State, saying that the glory and praise belong to the Almighty God.

Chief Okey, while dedicating his certificat to God Almighty and also to his amiable wife, pledged to take the council to enviable heights.

He described his resounding victory as a call to service to humanity, noting that “service to humanity is service to God. And today, I dedicate this certificate of return to God Almighty and then to my wife because she was of immense support to me during my campaign and I don’t take her relentless efforts for granted.

“My heart goes out to my good people of Ukwa West who supported me in many ways and to the party Chairman of my LGA. I say thank you to all of you. I’m elected today to serve my people and I shall not fail in delivering the dividends of democracy. By the grace of God, with my arrival at the council, we shall achieve great feats for our people.”

“I also want to thank specially the father of PDP in Abia State, Dr. Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, our Governor and the entire members of PDP”, he added.

The newly elected Chairman pointed out that the council would not hesitate to deduce other positive avenues through which revenues could be generated to help complement the Federal Government’s allocations and develop the area.

He further promised a cordial relationship with all and sundry irrespective of party affiliations, saying it will promote  development, as well as peace and unity.

The people oriented Chairman-Elect used the medium to call for their unalloyed cooperation and support to enable him achieve his set goals for the people and the party in general, while also urging the youths to shun restiveness and all forms of social vices, reiterating that, “as a grassroots leader, my administration will protect the interest of everyone.”
