MOUAU Holds Pre-convocation Thanksgiving

It was a moment of gratitude to the Almighty God, yesterday, at Anyim Pius Anyim Auditorium, at the Pre-convocation Thanksgiving Service of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) as the atmosphere was filled with intense happiness and joy.
In his remarks, the 6th Vice Chancellor of the great Institution, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe CFS, alongside the entire Management profoundly thanked God for His sustaining grace and goodness upon the school leadership.
He thanked God for granting the school a Pro-chancellor and his team after several years of existing with none, adding that “we’re just starting the journey with them and a popular aphorism in Igbo language states and I quote: “when the sleep becomes sweet, we begin to snore”.
He thanked the staff of the school for their resilience and unwavering commitment to the growth and betterment of the school over the years.
He, however, used the medium to implore the staff to relentlessly work hard with open mindedness and zeal, assuring that their labour will not be in vain.
Hear him: “I want to also appeal to everyone to keep working hard with open mindedness, humility, truth and zeal.
Furthermore, the Vice Chancellor called on the team of clergymen led by Most Very Revd. (Dr.) Raphael Chibuzor Opoko (TFG, DOP) to earnestly pray for the Institution and her leadership, saying that the latter needs their prayers at all times.
In addition, Iwe urged the Clergies to also endeavour to put in an appearance at the Pre-convocation lecture holding today, Friday, which will be delivered by the Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma.
Highlights of the ceremony were a resounding Choir ministration a high praise and worship session, as the management team and staff of the school sang and danced joyously in gratitude to God for His benefits.
Meanwhile, attendance at the event were the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Usla Akanwa, Dr. Mrs. Nkechinyere Iwe, the wife of the Vice Chancellor, Comrd. Fidelix Ede, the Pro-Chancellor.
