The Police Management of Zone 2 Command Headquarters has frowned over the conduct of some police officers under the command during an arrest depicted in a viral online video.
In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers NAOSNP by the Zonal PPRO, CSP Ayuba T. Umma stated that, “The Police Management at the Zone 2 Command Headquarters, under the leadership of AIG Adegoke M. The petitioner asserted that a group of armed individuals, suspected to be cult members invaded his residence on 13th and 14th July 2025 issuing threats against him and his family, which compelled him to relocate for their safety.”
“Following an inquiry and the collection of her statement, Ms. Mercy Attababa was released to the Lagos State University Student Union Government Welfare Director. The AIG has directed that the case be transferred to the Commissioner of Police Lagos for comprehensive investigation and subsequent reporting.”
