Late Chief Nkole, Lost Asset To Nigeria’s Economy, Abia NUT Mourns… As they commiserate with Uko Nkole

The Abia North Chapter of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, (NUT) has described the departure of Late Chief Emmanuel Nkole as a great irreplaceable loss to the Nigeria nation, saying his indelible mark and services to the Nation especially at the apex bank, CBN can never be discarded in the Nigerian history.img 20200421 wa00385555841158269718251The group, led by the Chairman Association of Primary School Headteachers Association, Abia state, Chief Oke Emmanuel Uduma (aka. STOMMY) stated this yesterday, during their condolence visit to the member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Uko Nkole in his residence at Ozu Abam.

Speaking on behalf of the delegates and NUT ABIA North, Chief Oke Emmanuel recounted on the disciplinary acts of the deceased whom he noted was a teacher before delving into the banking sector where he, according to him, did exploits, as he prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the financial expert and banker per excellence in the bosom of the Lord and the strength for the family to bear the loss

Hear him: “We have come to pay our last respect to one of our own, Late Chief Emmanuel Nkole Uduma who was a teacher before switching to the banking sector. Late Chief Nkole was a disciplinarian, gentleman, and a peaceful man whose indelible mark and services to the Nation especially at the Nation’s apex bank, CBN where he worked diligently and retired meritoriously as a Senior Management Staff will remain evergreen in our minds.”
Chief Uduma used the medium to extoll the federal lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Nkole for following the footprints of his parents, who were both Teachers and lovers of education via his midas touch on the educational sector especially the registration of First School Leaving Certificate Examination for over 600 indigents pupils across the Federal Constituency, attraction of a solar based E-learning centre with over 40 computer sets at Abam High School.
Among other things which chief Uduma enlisted as we’re accomplished by the federal Lawmaker were; provision of School desks for Ofali Agwu Community School , Amaekpu, Amaogudu Community School, Abiriba, Amamba/Ukpo Community School, Abiriba , Nkporo Comprehensive Secondary School, ongoing construction of five classroom block in Amankwu Ohafia which is near completion, Construction of five classroom block and a laboratory for Obiene Technical Secondary School, Ututu.
“Construction of five classroom blocks in Ndi Aku Ohafia, a village in Ohafia that has existed for over 100 years without any elementary school in partnership with CHAMA
and most especially the bill he sponsored for the Establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Abiriba, though has fully passed all the legislative procedures in the 8th Assembly but could not get Presidential assent as a result of paucity of time.”
According to Uduma, the proposed Bill has been committed to the relevant committee (Committee of the whole-house of Representatives) for reconsideration “as a matter of procedure and given life for expeditious Presidential assent,” he added, maintaining that the House sees it as a Bill that will go a long way in addressing some imbalances against the State.
Responding, Hon. Nkole expressed deep appreciation for the commiseration visit by the Teachers, reiterating that he (Nkole) is a product of Teachers as he described them as nation builders “whose preserving and resilience attitude on impacting knowledge to our children should not be overlooked but motivated for greater efficiency and output.”

Rt. Hon. Nkole added that his tenure in office in the 9th National Assembly will be a period to consolidate on his achievement in the 8th National Assembly, insisting, “as I a talk to you now, I attracted the funding in the 2020 Federal Government Appropriation Act for the rehabilitation of the F107 road: Umuahia-Bende-Ozu Abam-Ohafia Federal road to the tune of 172 million while the contractor handling the landslide projects at Ajata Ibeku and Bende along the arterial road are back on site.
“Other projects that got funded in the 2020 National budget is the Arochukwu-Ohafia -Federal road with the contract no: 6481 awarded to SETRACO/HARTLAND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED among others”, he affirmed.
Rt. Hon. Nkole further restated his preparedness towards ensuring that his vision one village, one project program must be realized before the end of his tenure, while promising to create more avenue for regular interactions with the teachers while praying for journey mercies as they returned to the various destinations.
