JUST IN: Suspected Police officers shoot man driving Benz GLK dead in Asaba
The entire atmosphere of Asaba, the capital of Delta State on Tuesday , October 10, 2025, engulfed in riotous uproar, following a heart-wrenching incident involving suspected men of the Nigeria Police and a young man driving in his car along the streets of Asaba.
According to reports, the deceased who was glowing with excitement as he drove in his Mercedes Benz GLK, was allegedly sent to his untimely grave on that fateful Tuesday, by some assailants whose true identities are yet to buy ascertained.
According to activist Harrison Gwamnishu, who shared the story on social media, the tragic event occurred on Tuesday night at Playlearn Junction. He stated that the assailants were conveyed in a Sienna vehicle, and after shooting the victim, they immediately fled the scene.
Gwamnishu revealed that he contacted several police stations across Delta State to confirm the identity of the officers involved, but all denied any knowledge of the Sienna vehicle or the operation.
The activist further appealed to shop owners and residents around the area to assist by providing CCTV footage that could help identify the suspects and uncover the truth behind the killing.
The incident has since sparked outrage on social media, with many Nigerians demanding accountability and a thorough investigation from the Delta State Police Command.
As of the time of the press, authorities were yet to issue an official statement regarding the gruesome murder of the civilian who was believed had left his home with a view to acquiring his daily bread just like every other citizen of Nigeria.
