JUST IN: Arise TV presenter, Somtochukwu set for burial, as family announces date
The remains of the deceased staff of Arise TV who died tragically in a robbery incident is set to be returned to mother earth.
The family of the famous Arise TV Anchor, Correspondent and producer, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, has announced the funeral arrangements of their beloved daughter and sister.
It will be recalled that 29-years-old Sommie whose life was cut short at her prime has been on the spotlight, since the fatal incident that claimed her life, on Monday, September 29, 2025, during a heavy robbery operation, at Katampe District of Abuja, FCT.
According to an obituary which was sighted in Famous Reporters, her burial arrangements are as follows:

A night of tributes is slated to hold on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at ThisDay Dome, Central Business District, in Abuja at 6:00PM.
Similarly, a service of songs is scheduled for Wednesday, 15 October, 2025, at Corpus Christi Cathedral, at Kaduna Street, Port Harcourt, Rivers State at 5:00PM, whereas funeral service takes place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, in Agulu, Anaocha local government area of Anambra State, and the time is 11:AM.
Meanwhile, on the obituary the visibly devastated family had written in block capitals:

“Funeral arrangements have been announced for Arise News Anchor, Correspondent and Producer, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu, who passed on in a very tragic incident on Monday, September 29, 2025.”
