Chidera’s success has dragged her to her untimely death as she could no longer live to enjoy her success.
Tge 16year-old girl identified simply as Chidera from Amakpoke Umuaku, Isuochi, in Umunneochi LGA of Abia State was reportedly poisoned by her stepmother, (name withheld) due to jealously.
Reportedly, the brilliant teenager had scored 9 A’s in West African Examinations Council exams (WAEC) and won a scholarship to study in the UK but, however, could not live to reap the benefits of her night candles, as she was regrettably poisoned by her stepmother who could not contend with the poor girl’s success
Chidera was confirmed dead in school after eating the poisoned food given to her by her stepmom while leaving for school in the morning.
Eyewitnesses revealed that up until her last breath, Chidera could not make reference to anyone else but had insistently said her last breath that the only food she ate was the food that was given to her by her stepmother.
