Imo government Constitutes 9- Man Committee On Coronavirus

In line with the federal government policy in waging war against the fast spread of Coronavirus Disease, (COVID-19), the Imo state government has constituted a 9- man committee to help prevent the outbreak in Imo State.

A statement signed by the Governor, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodinma and made available to Famous Reporters by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Oguwike Nwachuku states that the 9-man committee is formed as a measure to prevent the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the area.

The statement read in detail:

“Following the recent rise in the spread of the dreaded Coronavirus disease, (COVID- 19) in Nigeria and in line with the federal government policy in combating the virus, the Imo state government hereby constitutes a committee on prevention of Coronavirus in Imo State.

The 9- man committee presided over by Prof. Maurice Iwu, Chairman houses

“The members are:

“Prof. Maurice Iwu, Chairman,
Dr. Okeji Austin (Ministry of Health), member/ secretary, Dr. Kingsley Achigbu, (Federal Medical Center), member, Dr. Uduji Uchenna, (Imo Specialist Hospital), member, Dr. Duru Chukwuma JP, (IMSUTH), member, Prof. Isaiah Ibe, (Med- Lab, University of Benin), member, Miss Nkem Chimeze Ijere, (Public Health), member, Dr. Chimezie Iwuala, Member and Dr. Kyrian Duruewuru, (Chairman, NMA, Imo State), member”, it stated.
