The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the immediate redeployment of Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Olatunji Rilwan Disu to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.

The redeployment, which takes immediate effect, was confirmed on Monday, February 2, 2026, according to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP).
Prior to his new assignment, AIG Disu served as the AIG in charge of the Special Protection Unit (SPU), where he supervised high-profile security operations and protective services across the country.
AIG Disu is a seasoned police officer with extensive experience in operational policing and leadership. He previously served as the Commissioner of Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command and Rivers State Command, where he recorded notable achievements in crime control and public safety management.
He was promoted and decorated with the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police on March 25, 2025.
His latest deployment is seen as part of ongoing strategic efforts by the Nigeria Police Force to strengthen investigative operations and enhance service
