Engr. Boniface Isienyi, the member-elect of Ikwuano State Constituency of Abia State has reassured his Constituents that his administration will stop at nothing in ensuring that their heart desires are granted.
Isienyi who won the contest of March 18, under Labour Party, made this pledge shortly after collecting his Certificate of Return at International Conference Center, Ogurube-Layout, in Umuahia, Abia State,
He regretted that the people of Ikwuano had long desired for a change, while expressing profound gratitude to God Almighty for crowning his efforts with success, and also to Ndi Ikwuano for their awesome support, as he vowed never to dash their hope, irrespective of all odds.
Hear him: “I am grateful to God for helping me win overwhelmingly.
I give all glory to God for the victory; it can only be God, how it happened I didn’t know. Also, I’m so grateful to Ndi Ikwuano and I pledge not to disappoint them one bit, he explained.flaunt
Asked whether he anticipated of the victory, the proud son of Ikwuano said:
“Yes, I’m a prayerful person and it is the word of God that has come to accomplishment today. I knew I was going to win because I understood vividly that my people needed change. people have suffered a lot and have been desiring for a change and I am that long awaited change.
God said to me, go, I’ll anoint you and so I went with faith in the word of God”, he added.
On what he has in store for the people of Ikwuano, the member-elect pointed out that his administration would leave no stone unturned in efficiently implementing his manifesto.
“By the grace of God, my manifesto will be implemented. All I will do for Ndi Ikwuano is contained in my manifesto and by God’s grace, I’ll follow it strictly.
The illustrious son of Nchara Oloko who decried the obvious dilapidated state of the roads in the area, admitted, amidst regrets that his people whom he described as “predominantly agrarians” were over the years, bedeviled with poor road network and other vital social amenities, which he lamented had consequently crippled the anticipated success return of their agricultural activities.
“Ikwuano does not have any good roads; my people are agrarians; God has blessed us with the strength to do farming but they don’t have access roads to enable them convey their farm produce to areas where they’re needed so as to enable them earn a living.
“However, by the special grace of God, I’m going to work with Dr. Alex Otti and I’m confident that Dr. Alex Otti will be ever willing to assist me to give Ikwuano a facelift.
Fielding questions from the Media, Isienyi disclosed that he had begun to work assiduously towards redeeming pledges to the people.
His words: “For me, work began the moment I was declared the winner of the exercise. Right now, as I speak, I’ve begun with the paper work which will be presented to His Excellency as soon as he assumes office for implementation.
Meanwhile, he used the medium to reiterate that he had only come to serve the people for one tenure, saying, “by the grace of God, it is my will to serve just for one term but if God says go again, then I’ll, otherwise, as for me, I just intend to serve for one tenure.
Furthermore, he implored his opponents to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship in order to enable them collectively revamp the area, thus making it rank second to none among other Local Government Areas.
“By the special grace of God, just last week, I had a meeting with all the candidates except for two persons that did not attend. My brother from the All Progressives Congress, APC although he has called already to congratulate me, and then my brother from the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), the incumbent Member and I understand glaringly that he might be very busy.
“They all have their manifestos and definitely have one or two things to offer Ndi Ikwuano. And I’ve pleaded with them all to come, let’s have a dialogue on how to rebuild Ikwuano. We all won. We all are winners but we only need one person to represent. So, I might be the one sailing the ship, but it is a victory for all of us candidates”, he posited.
