Hon. Chief Steve Mpamugo, the newly elected Chairman of Ikwuano LGA has reiterated his immense gratitude to God Almighty and the entire people of Ikwuano Local Government A berea of Abia State for giving him the opportunity to serve the people.img 20201221 wa00129010600577286254847

Addressing Journalists shortly after collection of his Certificate of Return, at Abia State Independent Electoral Commission, ABSIEC this evening, Chief Mpamugo whose joy and happiness knew no bounds thanked bountifully the people of Ikwuano council for massively voting him into office.

He reassured that the impacts of his emergence would be felt  positively by all and sundry, as he called for their unalloyed support.

He commended the youths for the existing relative peace and harmony, while urging them to maintain the tempo.

In addition, he thanked the PDP family particularly the Governor, Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu for the issue of certificate of return, noting that it is a reaffirmation that he truly won at the just concluded election and promised to uphold the principles of democracy.

“I’m very elated today and I shall make the people of Ikwuano proud. Collecting this certificate is an indication that truly I partook of the election and I emerged successfully.

“I will ensure that my admnistration delivers dividends of democracy to my people without reservations. My deputy and I will ensure that none is left behind in the struggle to restore the lost dignity of Ikwuano which is the hub of food in this state.”

Corroborating, the deputy Chairman, Cmrd. Cokey Lordson Nwachukwu amidst smiles, reassured the people particularly the youths of their preparedness to moved the area to enviable heights.

Cokey, who prided in the relentless support of the youths of the council, use the medium to remind them of the indispensability of love and oneness, saying, “united we stand, divided, we fall.”
