The Orji Police station in Owerri, Imo State, has been set ablaze by angry #EndSARS protesters.

Officers at Orji police station, Owerri, Imo state as gathered, allegedly fled the station from protesters as their bullets could not penetrate the bodies of protesters in the area.

It was learnt that the Nigeria Police had opened fire on them but the bullets failed to penetrate their bodies, which reportedly left the policemen panicking as they fled for safety.

Reports have it that the protesters had stormed Orji police station with charms and dangerous weapons.

The protesters freed the detainees at the police station and set it ablaze, as nothing might possibly be retrieved from the police station.

A police van carrying about 7 mobile police officers arrived the scene of the crime, chasing away onlookers.

An eye witness as posted on the Social Media says, “People living as far as Akwakuma can see the flames while others living in other parts of Orji could hear the gunshots as if it were at their backyards”.
