Exclusive! Impeachment Plots: None Should Insult, Impeach Our President, Abia Deputy Speaker Warns

As the ploy to impeach the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Mohammadu Buhari intensifies, the Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly and Member respresenting Ohafia South State Constituency has sent a stern warning to the perpetrators of same, urging them to desist from such.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Uchendu gave this strict call during an exclusive interview with Famous Reporters, yesterday, at his lodge, in Umuahia, the state’s capital, insisting that PMB must be allowed to serve out his tenure.

The enthusiastic Legislator gave this charge following the recurrent calls for the removal of the President, consequent on the hike in the state of insecurity and hunger ravaging the entire nation evident in the APC led administration.

He argued with confidence that the present administration might end in the favour of the nation, hence impeachment ought not be a last resort, as he warned Nigerians to refrain from uttering abusive words against the President, while advising that all acts geared ridiculing the image of the latter before right thinking members of the society.

“No, no, I cannot advise anybody to impeach anybody. Let him finish his administration maybe he might have a programmer or agenda that will eventually be better for the nation at the end so let us allow him finish his tenure.

“Personally, I love Buhari; I don’t have any problem with Buhari. I like him as a person. I voted for Buhari in 2015 but I. 2019 I voted my party candidate. I know that the people around him are our problem. So, let them allow our President finish his

administration nobody should talk about impeaching our President, nobody should insult or abuse our President. He is our President and so, let no one insult him or impeach him. We should allow him complete his regime then we can think of a way forward”, he pleaded.

Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi who exonerated Mr. President from the blame of the incessant attacks and killing by Boko Haram insurgents and Fulani herdsmen in the country, appealed to Nigerians to sheath their swords, maintaining that PMB could come up with strategies that could bring to an end all abnormalities.

Hear him: “You don’t know what he is passing through; we don’t know the challenges he’s passing through in tackling this insecurity and we pray he will come up with measures that will provide a lasting solution. And most times, security matters are discussed in public maybe he is there planning on. So, let us keep calm , watch and see things get better”, he said.

“In every nation, there is always a crime. I’m not happy that those students were kidnapped and I’m appealing to the Federal Government to try and ensure that those students are released unharmed”

Meanwhile, he pleaded with his party members “to keep calm and watch, and subtly keep mounting pressure on the APC party and the President so that this insecurity matter will end.”
