The Chairman, Imo State Traditional Institution and Community Policing,
HRM Eze Dr. Emmanuel C. Okeke, Eze Udo (2) of Amaifeke Ancient Kingdom says the Eastern Security Network ESN is not the only existing security outfit in Nigeria, as there exist so many other security outfits established in the various regions.

The renowned traditional ruler stated this in his Amaifeke kingdom, during an exclusive interview with Famous Reporters, weekend, stressing that the country houses a lot more other regional security agencies, hence ESN is not the only existing regional security outfit.

It would be recalled that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had in recent times, established the Eastern Security Network, ESN in his quest to curb the dastardly activities of the Fulani herdsmen in the region.

The traditional ruler who earlier turned down advances to comment on the Eastern Security Network, argued that there were so many other regional security outfits operating in the country.

Hear him: “I can’t be able to talk about ESN because they’re not the only security outfit. We still have the Amotekun, only the federal government has a solution to all of these issues and make sure we have peace.

The CEO, Imuka Global Company Nig. Ltd called on the presidency to consider the plight of the various agitating regions who over the years, have amidst depression, pleaded for an end to the marginalisation of their areas thus grant their requests so as to foster development in the country.

Eze Udo (2) suggested that by engaging the aggrieved groups in a discourse, a lasting peace would be the outcome both in the zone and the nation in general.

“Dialogue is the solution to this. Let the federal government have a dialogue with these people. If they say that they’re denied their rights or that they’re marginalised, it’s left for the federal government to look into it and do the right thing. So that we can give peace a chance and allow people their rest of mind”, he said, stressing that no state or country could make progress amidst fracas and turbulence.

On the recent clash between the Nigerian Army and the people of Orlu, he said:
“What we’re seeing is not ordinary insecurity issues but a fight between the Federal Government and some groups. That is what most times, affects the local government. My appeal is for the federal government to look into those matters and know how to bring about peace. They should follow dialogue and hear the demands of some people.”

He, however, reiterated that the issue of insecurity is predominant in other states, arguing that it is not only restricted to Orlu zone and Imo State in general.

He said: ” Insecurity is a general issue. There is insecurity everywhere. It is everywhere but there are areas where it’s more.

Continuing, he said: “Presently, many people are having problems of insecurity so it’s not only in my area but it’s in every state. It’s left for the government to solve our problem, they’re our leaders.”

He implored the federal government to prudently tackle the protracted abnormalities, saying, “the federal government has the answer to them all. All they have to do is to call all of them together and have a dialogue with them so that the poor masses can have rest of mind.

Asked how he restored peace between the Nigerian Army and the men of Eastern Security Network, he said: “Like I said, it is the wise that God gave to me that I applied and putting in my efforts to make sure that peace was restored.”

He used the medium to express gratitude to the state Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma for his swift response to the cry of his people during the clash between the Nigerian Army and men of the Eastern Security Network, ESN.
