#EndSARS: Mr. Raw exposes why ikpeazu refused to address protesters
… Debunked Alleged #10m Bribe to end protest
*We Have No Governor… Youths
Famous Nigerian indigenous rapper and singer, Okechukwu Edwards Ukeje popularly known by his stage name has Nigga Raw revealed to Abia youths and Nigerians why Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, the Governor has made deaf ears to the yearnings of the youths in the state since the inception of protests in the state.
Okechukwu Edwards Ukeje aka. Mr. Raw had in his company some other Artists, among who were Emma Ehumadu, (aka. Labista), Kingsley Ogbonna aka. Dauda, etc.
It would be recalled that Abia youths have since yesterday’s morning, Monday clustered around the Government House protesting vehemently against the brutal killings in the nation by members of Special Anti-robbery Squad, (SARS) but regretted that no government official is willing to address them as is being done by governors of other states.
To this effect, Mr. Raw, while addressing the youths at Akanu Ibiam road, popularly known as Bank road, in umuahia, the state’s capital, today, Tuesday disclosed that Governor Ikpeazu had bluntly ignored them in spite of their obvious persistence because he understood that the youths were were dissatisfied with his administration.
The illustrious son of Ebem Ohafia, in Ohafia LGA, Abia North bemoaned the dilapidated condition of the state, lamenting that Abia is the most poorly performed state so far in the country.
Okechukwu who stated without mincing words that every aspect of the state had been crippled, blamed it on bad governance.
Hear him: “Abia is at the last position in every aspect in the country. In this country, we’re the last. I’ll start with all the protests we’ve been doing since yesterday. Of all the things we did yesterday, in other states, their Governors came out to address their youths. Did your Governor show up? Do you know why? He knows you are angry in your hearts. Nothing is going on in Abia.
He used the medium to debunk the rumour that he, alongside his friends collected a total sum of #10m from the state to quit protesting, as he described it as a ploy to disrupt the success of the protests.
He urged the youths and all well-meaning Abian to discard the rumour, insisting that “we are united.
“I woke up this morning only to hear that I collected bribe. It’s just to destroy what we are doing. What they want to do is to divide our rule because they know the power of unity. Please, ignore such rumour, it’s fake. Don’t give up for we’re heading somewhere. We’re united despite the attempts.
Corroborating, Kingsley Ogbonna aka. Dauda enjoined the youths to ignored the unfounded information, saying they could not be bought over
“You want to divide us but I tell you, we ain’t going nowhere. Forget it, we ain’t going nowhere. None of us can collect #10m. what is it for? Will it not finish someday? The only money anyone can give to me is a kind of money I’ve never had. #10m is a very small amount. I’ve made more than that through foolishness.
“Do not listen to any saboteur who wants to divide us to rule us. No money was given to us and even if they made an offer, we won’t accept it. We cannot betray you.
All we ask for is an end to the killing of our people”.
Meanwhile, Abia youths in their indignation denied the presence of a governor in the state, saying “we have no Governor”.
