Encomiums, As Dr Kalu Receives Title Of Okpata Ozuora 1 for His Philanthropic Services
Tuesday the 26th of December, 2023 was. remarkable day for the man that has continued to effect the lives of his people in more ways than one through scholarships, charity, sponsorship and empowerment of the people, irrespective of tribe, religion or crede.
As a proud son of Bende in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Chief Dpr Emeka Charles Kalu had on the 22nd Day of December 2023, provided quality Palliative to over 80 widows and indigent person in his community with a promise to make it an annual event that will be extended beyond Bende Local Government Area to other parts of Abia North Senatorial Zone and Abia as a whole.
Chief Kalu, who is the president of ECK Foundation and convener of Global Initiative for Good Governance, GIGG, during the Chieftency installation event reiterated his resolve to continue to make sure that as long as the earth remains and he draws breath, he will continue to make the people around him smile which is his dearest philosophy to life.
In the same vein, the Ezeike IV of Nibo while installing him as Okpata Ozuora 1 Na Nibo (One whose wealth extends to everyone), assured Chief Kalu that his Philanthropic gestures towards the people of Nibo has not gone unnoticed, hence his selection for the title to encourage him to continue his selfless service to humanity.
Highlights of the event included cash donation of N2,000,000 (Two Million Naira) to the Nibo Community for community development and his promise to continue to sponsor and encourage excellence among the youths of the community.
Senator Uche Ekwunife graced the occasion as Chijioke the High life Music Moestro held the audience to a wonderful evening of groove that make Chief Kalu’s sons who returned from the States to have a good sense of belonging.
Cultural Displays, masquerades, Ndi Ogbu Oja and endless merriment culminated the event far into the night.
