Ebonyi state: NGO Complements Govt’s Efforts…Organises Basic Training Of Teachers

In a bid to drive home the vision of the Engr. David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi state, the Peace House Education Mission, a non- governmental organization has commenced massive training of basic education teachers in the state.

Famous Reporters gathered that the free training had the objective of integrating the learner with the environment and draw them closer to the source of knowledge in promoting the educational standard in the society.

Addressing newsmen, the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Orji Chima thanked the organization for coming to Ebonyi state to help to realize the vision and mission of the state government in the education sector.

The Honourable commissioner noted that Governor David Nweze Umahi understood the problems of Ebonyi state and was bent on facing same squarely, while assuring them of their support.

In their separate views, the Education consultant to Ebonyi state government , Professor John Eke, the senior special assistant to the Governor on higher Education professor Patrick Enyi and the chairman Ebonyi state universal basic education board, Chief Hyacinth Ikpor appreciated the sacrifice of the peace House Education Mission.

They stressed the need for a good formation of children beginning from the foundation in order to ensure a better society.

The coordinator of the training Mrs. Arit Targema said the training was free adding “we aredoing it in service to God and humanity”.

Contributing, Professor Laka Gbenda, John Adakole and Mrs. Victoria onu who were also members of the team lauded the Governor over the massive development going on in Ebonyi state, and emphasized that the organization desired to offer intervention in the education sector thus bringing about the benefits of education .
