Ebonyi state Secretary to state Government, Dr. Kenneth Igwe Ugbala has urged the various organizations, civil society groups, artisans and private companies in the state to adhere to stipulated preventive measures to tackle the outbreak Coronavirus, (COVID-19) in the state.
Dr.Ugbala while addressing newsmen at the state cabinet office Abakaliki the state capital, shortly after the sensitisation meeting with the people, revealed that the present administration of Governor David Nweze Umahi would not leave any stone unturned in the fight angainst the deadly virus which has been circulatiing massively in recent time.
Hear him: “Based on this value, Governor Umahi has ordered the immediate building of corona virus quarantine center at the Ebonyi state Unity square Abakaliki which has been completed and ready for commissioning’, he disclosed, stressing that Umahi’s administration will not take for granted the lives of Ebonyians.
However, state Secretary stressed that the extension of the center has been set out to all the state neighbouring borders to stop those travelers who may come into the state with this virus through any of the borders to be qurrantine for proper treatment.
Dr. Ugbala advised Ebonyians and indeed Nigeria at large to take the preventive measures seriously to avoid spread of this deadly virus.
