Ebonyi state Governor, His Excellency Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi, FNSE, FNATE, has ordered for the immediate removal from office and arrest of the Technical Assistant (TA) to Governor on Security, Mr. Ibiam Ogbonnaya Junior, (a.k.a Terror) for alleged involvement in a murder case.

A release signed by Hon. Ugbala Kenneth Igwe, (PhD), the SSG to the Governor and Coordinating Commissioner, revealed that Mr. Ibiam Ogbonnaya Junior, (a.k.a Terror) shall be arrested alongside his cohort, the Coordinator, Ubeyi Development Centre, Hon. Uche Ibiam.
Famous Reporters recalls that
one Mr. Enyinnaya Ibiam, a former staff of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Uwanna, Afikpo North LGA of Ebonyi State was reportedly shot dead by an unknown member of rival group of the party, on Friday, during the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) primaries election, in Ebonyi state.
The release reads in parts:
“His Excellency further directed that security agencies should carry out investigation and prosecute all those found guilty in accordance with the extant laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
“The Governor assured Ebonyians of their safety and readiness to sustain the peace and tranquility reigning in the state”.
Meanwhile, a source who spoke to Famous Reporters in anonymity disclosed that the trio of Mr. Ibiam Ogbonnaya Junior, Hon. Uche Ibiam and Mr. Enyinnaya Ibiam, the deceased were cousins.
