Governor David Nweze Umahi of Ebonyi state has been commended for unhesitantly deploying proactive measures towards averting the invasion of Coronavirus in the state .
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Inter- party Advisory Council, Hon. Mrs. Jennifer Adabe Nwafor gave this commendation at Government house, Abakaliki, noting that the lockdown of public service centres is in the interest of Ebonyians and Nigerians in general.
However, Mrs. Nwafor charged political office holders, as well as the general public to comply with the Governor’s directives “by regularly washing their hands with soup which is the best method to fight the deadly virus”, she said
Fielding questions from newsmen, Hon. Jennifer revealed that the state government had put all medical equipment in place, adding that virology centres will soon be launched in Ebonyi for instant Covid-19 test.
While describing Umahi as god sent, Hon. Nwafor advised the neighbouring states to emulate Umahi’s attributes, saying, ‘Governor Umahi has the interest of the people at heart.
