Ebonyi State Commissioner for Education, Dr. Onyebuchi Chima has taken his sensitisation campaign to secondary schools in Ebonyi to educate student on dangers of Corona virus.
Speaking during the Inter-house Sports competition at Urban Model Secondary School, Abakaliki, Dr. Onyebuchi who said the future of children was strictly dependent on their teachers charged the latter to put more efforts in ensuring that the students are adequately ‘prepared against tomorrow.”
Dr Chima, further advised teachers to maintain good personal hygiene, while insisting on the regular usage of hand sensitizers in washing their hands to enable them protect themselves and the students against Corona virus, as he commended Governor David Nweze Umahi for his immense efforts towards regards securing the lives of Ebonyians against the deadly virus.
In his contribution, Ebonyi state Chairman people’s democratic party Mr Onyekachi Nwebonyi who also a member of the old boys of the institution frowned at the dilapidated state of the school and promised but assured them of the intervention of the state government.
Also speaking, the principal of the school, Mrs Bridget Nnenna Obasi expressed happiness over the turn out of people at the event.
Mrs Obasi who expressed confidence in the government of Umahi recounted on the various proactive measures embarked upon by the administration to protect the state against the spread of the deadly disease, Corona virus.
