“Death is an inevitable end that will come when it will come and the giver of life is God and the taker of life is still God.”
Those were the kind words of the CEO, Mark Agnes Group, South Africa and founder of Dikenmba Chuks and Chilaka Foundation Nig. yesterday, during the funeral ceremony of Late Chief Augustus Onyemauche Onuoha, Okosisi Ejirimaramba 1 of Umuchieze, in his country home, at Ekereazu, Ahiazu, Mbaise LGA of Imo State.


He said: “Death is an inevitable end that will come when it will come and the giver of life is God and the taker of life is still God. Time has come for the father to answer the highest call and so I advise him to console himself and his entire family. For there is hope after here for we have faith to make it to eternity.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dike eji eje mba Chuks Chilaka who is also the President of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, South Africa enjoined Chief Chimaobi Collins Onuoha, aka. Echeozo, the bereaved to remain of good cheer, as death, he said, was a requisite end for every creature, hence it has been ordained by God for mankind.

Chilaka who is a die-hard member of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP explained that his decision to defy all obstacles to show his solidarity to Echeozo was borne out of his unreserved love for the latter.
Speaking further, he said, “Echeozo is my party man which is the largest party in Africa, PDP. He’s a friend and an ally and as he bids farewell to his father today, courtesy demands that no matter wherever we are, we must come down to pay him our last respect and condole with the family.”

Dike eji-eje mba urged Echeozo whom he described as a good friend to imbibe the kind and peaceful attribute of his late father and sustain the existing love and cordiality in his immediate family, while applauding him for his strength and courage.
Sir Chilaka expressed joy over the tranquility of the atmosphere which he pointed out was evidently felt in the course of the ceremony, as well as the glaring cordiality shared by the bereaved and his immediate family.
Earlier in his sermon, the Parish Priest, Umuchieze Diocese of Ahiara Mbaise Annunciation Catholic Parish, Ekerenazu, Fr. Lucas Ogbonna described Late Chief Augustus as a peace maker, who according to him has left legacies to be emulated by all and sundry.




Fr. Ogbonna urged the entire community and the society in general to follow the footprints of the deceased, saying, “return to God and he will heal your brokenness. If you have derailed, he will forgive you your sins and accept you.
“Everyone will be judged on the last day. Be a peace builder just like our father who has just departed was”, he added, as he prayed God to bless the soul of the latter and grant him rest everlasting in his kingdom.
Also, the Priest charged the congregation and the Nigeria nation in general to see everyone as one and eschew all manner of discrimination and tribalism, adding, maintain fairness and always stand on the truth and God will surely reward you.
Advising Nigerian leaders, the Clergy reiterated the need to to embrace equity and fairness, insisting that, “you must ensure a level praying ground in elections so that in the end, we’ll all meet in heaven.
“Be a good Nigerian and shun violence of all sorts and destruction of public’s property”, he insisted.
Addressing Journalists, Mr. Chinomso Udoeme who shares an unbreakable relationship with the family, while describing the ceremony as a mere celebration of life, prayed for God’s fortitude upon the family

“I pray that God will comfort them. It’s a good thing that the man was 80years already and it’s not easy for anyone to attain 80 in this present Nigeria. So, I think it’s a celebration of life and I’m impressed with the show of love among the family.”
Speaking in another development, the Anambra born businessman man admitted to the urgent need for good governance by present day’s Nigerian youths, but, however, stressed that same would not be actualised in a hurry
Hear him: “We know it’s not gonna happen in one day but we keep pressing so they should not give up”.
On whether he was among the#EndSars promoters, he said: “I’m only a promoter of good governance. There is this music that days ‘if you are a governor, govern us well and if you are a president, president us well”, he admonished.
