Breaking! Russian-Ukraine War: Russia Defense Repels Assassination Attack On Putin
Moscow- Russia has alleged that Ukraine tried to assassinate President Vladimir
Putin in a drone attack when the President was on a visit to Kursk region.
Reportedly, Putin’s helicopter was caught in an aerial barrage of Ukrainian drones during his visit to the Kursk region.
This was reported yesterday, Sunday by Russian and Ukrainian media.
The commander of Russia’s air defense announced the thwarting of the attack on Putin’s life during his visit to Kursk.
Russian military officer and air defense unit commander, Yuriy Dashkin announced that the Russian president’s helicopter was at the center of a massive Ukrainian drone attack, but defense forces managed to repel it completely.
Yuri Dashkin, Russia’s air defense commander in the Kursk region, claimed that while Putin was in the air, Russian forces repelled a Ukrainian drone attack.
“The intensity of the attack during the flight of the aircraft carrying the supreme commander over the territory of the Kursk region significantly increased,” Dashkin said, as reported by Russian state media site Vesti.
Russian military officer and air defense unit commander Yuriy Dashkin claims that the helicopter of Vladimir Putin allegedly came under drone attack in the Kursk region and was in the very “epicenter” of the strike.
“We simultaneously conducted air defense combat and ensured air safety during the president’s helicopter flight. [The president’s helicopter was] essentially at the epicenter of repelling a massive attack by enemy drones.”
According to him, from May 20 to 22, Russia allegedly came under a massive drone attack, and Russian air defense “destroyed” as many as 1,170 drones.
The commander stated that during Putin’s visit to the Kursk region, there was an “unprecedented attack” and air defense “shot down” 46 drones.
“I would like to point out that the intensity of the attack significantly increased during the flight of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s aircraft over the territory of Kursk region. Therefore, we were simultaneously engaged in an air battle and ensured the safety of the president’s helicopter in the airspace,” the Russian commander said.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin had, on May 21, reported that Putin had allegedly visited Kursk region. According to Russian sources, Putin visited Kursk and Kurchatov, which is located less than 100 km from the border with Ukraine.
